Grilled peaches are an effortless summer dessert that brings out the fruit’s natural sweetness and adds a touch of smokiness from the grill. This simple recipe highlights ripe peaches with a light dusting of cinnamon, a quick sear on a hot grill, and a finishing drizzle of local honey and crunchy nuts. It’s fast to prepare, versatile to serve, and perfect for warm-weather gatherings or a quiet weeknight treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe peaches
  • 1–2 tbsp local honey
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1–2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Coconut oil spray or 2 tbsp melted coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Halve the peaches and remove the pits. Place the peach halves cut-side up on a plate. Lightly spray or brush the cut surfaces with coconut oil, then sprinkle evenly with cinnamon.
  2. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. When hot, transfer the peaches cut-side down to the grill and cook for about 8–12 minutes, until grill marks form and the fruit softens slightly.
  3. Remove the peaches from the grill, return them cut-side up, and drizzle with local honey. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and serve warm.

Tips and Variations

Choose peaches that are fragrant and yield slightly to gentle pressure for the best flavor and texture. If you prefer a richer finish, swap honey for a small pat of butter, mascarpone or ricotta, or serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent dessert. For a savory twist, try a pinch of sea salt and a drizzle of balsamic reduction.

If grilling is not an option, you can broil the peaches in a hot oven for a few minutes, watching carefully until they caramelize. Toast the nuts briefly in a dry skillet for extra crunch and aroma before sprinkling them over the finished peaches.

Serving Suggestions

Serve grilled peaches warm as a stand-alone dessert, or pair them with yogurt, whipped cream, ice cream, or a cheese plate. They also make a lovely topping for pancakes, waffles, or oatmeal.

Storage

Leftovers can be kept covered in the refrigerator. Reheat gently on a warm skillet or enjoy chilled as a topping. For best texture and flavor, consume within a couple of days.
