Why I Lied: What I Learned After Telling the Truth

Pioneer Woman Cooks Cookbook Giveaway Winners

I promised I would post the winner of The Pioneer Woman Cooks cookbook on my chocolate sheet cake post, and then I changed my mind — so I’m announcing the winners here.

At first I said there would only be one winner. After reading all of your comments and hearing how many of you love Ree’s recipes as much as I do, I couldn’t stick to that plan. Your enthusiasm blew me away today. The stories about the recipes you’ve made, the suggestions you shared, and the way you interact with this community made me smile and pushed me to do something more generous.

Also — and this made me especially happy — this weekend my blog celebrated its second anniversary. Two years of baking, sharing, photographing, and swapping recipes with you has been an adventure, and I wanted to mark the occasion in a way that thanked everyone who reads and contributes. So I went to the bookstore and picked up a few extra cookbooks to give away to readers.

Because of all of that, I didn’t pick just one winner. I picked four. They’re the lucky recipients of The Pioneer Woman Cooks cookbook. (I grabbed four because that’s what was available at the store.)

Here are the lucky numbers picked for the giveaway.

The winners are shown in the photo below — congratulations to the four lucky readers! I’m thrilled to be able to share these cookbooks with you. Your comments and support make this site what it is, and giving back felt like the right way to celebrate.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to leave a comment and share your Pioneer Woman recipe experiences. Reading them reminded me why I love maintaining this blog: it brings people together over food, creativity, and the joy of trying something new in the kitchen. I appreciate your continued visits, your photos, and your recipe swaps — they’ve turned this project into a two-year journey I’m genuinely proud of.

If you didn’t win this time, please don’t be discouraged. I enjoy hosting these small giveaways and will likely do more in the future. Meanwhile, keep baking, experimenting, and sharing your results. Your tips and feedback help other readers discover new favorites, and they inspire me to keep posting recipes and ideas.

Again — congratulations to the winners, and thank you to everyone who entered. Your enthusiasm for The Pioneer Woman’s recipes and for this blog means the world to me. Here’s to many more recipes, photos, and celebrations together.
