Construction is decent, but the interior depth is shallow for a standard men’s cowboy hat. Check measurements if you have tall crowns.

Excellent for fashion hats and closet use

I wouldn’t trust a high-end custom hat to this as sole protection, but for everyday fashion hats it’s ideal. Closes fully to keep dust out and the sides are sturdy enough for closet or car trips. Don’t expect it to replace heavy-duty luggage for checked baggage.

Great value for protecting worn western hats

I was skeptical after reading complaints about fit, but several of my Stetsons — including 5" crowns with 4" brims — fit, albeit snugly. There’s a tiny bend in one brim but nothing that ruins the hat. You won’t get the level of protection a heavy molded case offers, yet this folds flat when unused, which matters more for me. My Stetsons are lived-in, so I prefer practical protection over showroom preservation. For everyday travel and compact storage this case delivers solid value.
