Product description

What’s included and how it’s used
The package contains a 32-quart clear plastic file box with an integrated lid, dual buckles, and a removable foam gasket for a water-resistant seal. The interior accepts both letter and legal hanging folders via molded rails, making it suitable for office, classroom, bank, or home use. Use it for paperwork, craft supplies, camping items, clothing, or reels of 3D filament when paired with desiccant packs.

Materials and size
The container is molded from heavy-duty polypropylene and rated at 32 quarts. The lid and body feature reinforced edges and interlocking grooves so multiple units stack securely. Buckled latches clamp the lid to the body while the foam gasket helps exclude moisture and dust. The clear walls make contents visible without opening.

Assembly and origin
Lids come with preinstalled foam weatherstripping; buckles clip onto molded anchor points to lock the cover. The product is manufactured with global materials and assembled in the United States. A third-party sustainability certification (Green Circle) is noted on some batches, reflecting recycled-content and material handling practices.

Practical notes
The reinforced rails accommodate standard hanging folders or loose file folders. The lid grooves and heavy lid-body construction improve stability when stacking several boxes. While the foam gasket offers a degree of moisture resistance, frequent inspections and desiccant use are recommended if humidity control is critical.

Pros

  • Water-resistant lid with foam gasket
  • Stacking grooves and reinforced construction
  • Fits both letter and legal hanging folders

Cons

  • Foam seal may not be ideal for long-term archival storage
  • Some units arrive with loose or misaligned clasps
  • Occasional musty odor reported after extended storage

VerdictThis WeatherPro file box is a solid option for anyone needing a rugged, stackable container for letter and legal paperwork or lightweight gear. The polypropylene shell, buckled lid and foam gasket give reasonable water resistance and dust protection, and the molded grooves make stacked storage stable. Performance varies: many users report reliable seals and good organization for short- to medium-t

Customer reviews

  1. Charlie 5/5

Handy for my needs, arrived with loose handle

Overall I like it for what I wanted. One handle was detached inside the box; I’ll have someone reattach it and hope it holds up. Otherwise it suits my purpose.

  2. SG 5/5

Fits lots of paperwork with room to spare

Held all my documents and still had extra space. Good value for organizing file piles.

  3. Emmalee D. 1/5

Disappointed — arrived damaged and clasps fail

It arrived with a crack on one side that I taped up. The handles don’t latch securely and pop out easily; re-seating them is harder than they are to dislodge. I wouldn’t purchase this again.

  4. S. Dupont 5/5

    Solid construction and smooth handles

Heavy plastic and the handles operate smoothly. This isn’t a flimsy tub — a reliable choice for holding legal-size documents.

  5. SB 5/5

Thicker than expected but clasp range can impede lid removal

These are robust and accept hanging folders on built-in rails. The locking clips are very tight and only swing about 45 degrees, which can get in the way when lifting the lid. One clip arrived detached but was reattached and has stayed put. The gasket looked odd at first but tucks into the lid channel as intended. No strange smells noted.

  6. Amelia Willis 3/5

Quality control issues with clasps and weatherstrip

I bought more to match an older tote but was let down. Weatherstripping came loose inside one box and one clasp arrived unattached. A second person had to help reattach it, and it still tends to pop back out. Even the boxes with all clasps attached had issues with them releasing.

  7. Lionsden 5/5

Keeps 3D filament dry and organizes paperwork

A bit pricier than some alternatives but performs well. I use these for files and to keep 3D printing filament dry. With desiccant the internal humidity stayed under 10% while room humidity was about 46%. They stack four high without issue. One unit came with a torn seal but still seemed functional, though that one probably won’t seal as well long-term.

  8. Cynna 4/5

Okay for short-term use, concerns for long-term storage

After using these since 2019 I think they’re fine for regular use but not ideal for long-term preservation. A musty smell appears every few months even in a dry climate, and the foam gasket is basic rather than rubber, so it may deteriorate over time. They do stack and accommodate hanging folders, but the clamps can fail to remain locked occasionally.

  9. Melissa Mulligan 5/5

Compact, sturdy solution for tight spaces

Good for office organization and small footprints. Sturdy and fits neatly where space is limited.
