Product description
Pocket-friendly dimensions and tidy storage: The Calamus fishing scale measures approximately 3.2 inches long by 1.9 inches wide by 0.6 inches thick and weighs about 1.7 ounces, so it slides into small packs or pockets with ease. The rear panel doubles as a hook holder to keep the weighing hook stowed securely and prevent rattling or scratches when not in use.
Rechargeable power with auto sleep: A built-in lithium-ion battery charges via the supplied USB-C cable and yields roughly five hours of continuous operation on a full charge with the display active. To preserve power, the unit will automatically shut off after about two minutes of inactivity.
High-resolution weighing and quick lock: Internal precision sensors report measurements in fine increments (≈0.02 kg / 0.04 lb / 0.7 oz) up to a maximum capacity of 55 lb (25 kg). Once a weight is stable the reading locks in after around two seconds for easy recording.
Memory and unit options: Weigh in pounds/ounces or kilograms, and store up to three separate weights in memory. The scale can also display the combined total of stored entries and the average value for quick tournament or everyday comparisons.
Durable build and readable display: Housed in lightweight ABS with an ergonomic handle and textured side panels for a secure grip, the unit includes a backlit LCD for low-light conditions. Included accessories typically consist of the weighing hook, a lip gripper for holding fish, and a retractable tape measure for length/girth checks.
Pros
- Extremely compact and lightweight
- USB-C rechargeable battery
- Accurate readings with memory and total/average
Cons
- Small USB-C port cap is not tethered
- Some buyers have reported initial units with defects
- Battery lasts around five hours continuous
VerdictThis compact, USB-C rechargeable fish scale delivers accurate weights, an easy-to-read backlit screen, and a handy three-weight memory with total and average. It’s ruggedly built from ABS with textured grips and stores the hook on the back for neat packing. Minor quality-control hits have been reported, but overall it’s a very capable, travel-friendly weighing tool.

Berry J. 5/5
Surprisingly small and accurate
Very compact—one of the smallest scales I’ve used—and the accuracy impressed me when compared to a kitchen scale. It reports in pounds/ounces or kilograms with decimal precision. The built-in USB-C battery is convenient, the gripper feels useful, and the retractable tape is a nice extra for measuring length.

Solid unit, wish instructions were included
Good overall value. The only downside was no printed instructions, but the functions were easy enough to figure out. The lip gripper is convenient for getting trophy photos without handling the fish too much.

Replacement worked after initial defect
First unit arrived broken, but the replacement performs well. It appears to hold a charge and my calibration check shows it’s within about 0.02 lb of a precise reference, so only a hair off. I dropped my rating initially for the hassle, then raised it after the second unit proved accurate. I’d recommend it but note there can be occasional quality-control hiccups.

Perfect for bank anglers
Small, pocketable, and very light thanks to the internal lithium battery instead of AAs. The screen is clear and easy to read from a distance. My one gripe is the tiny USB-C dust cap isn’t attached to the body, so it could be misplaced. Otherwise it does everything I need and is a great value for shore fishing.

Darin 5/5
Tiny unit, fully featured
Really impressed with how small and travel-friendly this is. It tucks into a slim pack when I’m wading creeks or heading out in my kayak. I checked it against a reference weight and it matched perfectly. The three-item memory plus total and average readings are surprisingly useful for quick in-field scorekeeping. The rechargeable battery is convenient so I don’t need spare cells, and it arrives with a tape measure and lip gripper for photos and sizing. I haven’t found any real downsides for my use.

No specialty batteries needed
USB charging eliminates the need to carry uncommon batteries. Auto-off helps avoid draining the pack during long outings. Its compact footprint fits easily into a tackle box, while the memory and averaging features are handy for quick comparisons. With a 55 lb capacity it even doubles as a luggage scale. Overall a very useful fishing accessory.

Jr 5/5
Accurate, convenient, well made
Measures in both lb/oz and kg with consistent results, even on lighter catches, and the 55 lb (25 kg) capacity covers bigger fish. The USB-C recharge is handy—just plug into a power bank or wall adapter. It feels solid and compact in my bag, and the backlit LCD is great for early morning or dusk. Controls are straightforward and intuitive.
