Product description
What’s included: a single roll of transparent anti-slip tape measuring 2 inches wide by 15 feet long. The tape has a soft, textured top layer meant to provide traction while remaining comfortable to bare feet.
Materials and construction: the product is made from an environmentally conscious polymer with a soft, slightly grippy surface. The backing uses a waterproof, pressure-sensitive adhesive that forms a firm bond to smooth, non-porous surfaces without using mineral grit. The film is engineered for flexibility and temperature resilience so it conforms to contours and resists cracking under normal use.
Where it works: designed for wet and slippery locations — tubs, shower floors, locker rooms, pool surrounds, boats, ramps, ladders and stairs. It also adheres to tile, finished wood, laminate, concrete, metal and many plastics. Because the top layer is highly transparent, it keeps the original look of the substrate and can be used for decorative or discreet safety applications.
Installation and care: installation is simple — clean and dry the smooth surface, cut the tape to length, peel the liner and press firmly in place. For outdoor use, additional fasteners or tacks can be added for extra security if desired. Cleaning is easy: indoor spots wipe off with a damp cloth, and outdoor applications can be rinsed with a hose.
Removal and durability: when removed properly the tape comes away without leaving sticky residue or causing damage to most finished surfaces. It withstands regular foot traffic and household moisture well, but continuous exposure to sun and unprotected weather may shorten its lifespan. The manufacturer specializes in slip-prevention solutions and has years of experience testing and refining adhesives and textures.
Pros
- Clear, low-profile traction that preserves surface appearance
- Soft textured top feels comfortable for bare feet
- Waterproof adhesive bonds to many smooth substrates
Cons
- May degrade faster in constant unprotected outdoor exposure
- Adhesion can be poor on raw or unfinished wood
- Animals or outdoor pests can pick at exposed edges
VerdictThis clear traction tape delivers reliable slip resistance and is gentle under bare feet, making it a good choice for bathrooms, boats, ramps and indoor steps. Installation is straightforward — peel and press onto smooth, clean surfaces — and the film is simple to wipe or hose down. It preserves surface aesthetics thanks to high transparency, but prolonged exposure to direct weather can reduce per

Fast application, useful for game boards
Super easy to apply and offers the right amount of grip for my cornhole boards. Good quantity for the price, water resistant and leaves no residue. I’ll keep some stored for other projects.

Adds traction to steps
Provides solid grip as advertised, making stair use safer. It didn’t stick well to bare, unfinished wood, so surface prep or a different substrate helped.

Lysa 5/5
Simple to install and does the job
Very easy to lay down and it stayed put on my indoor steps. I used it to stop my dog from slipping on two entry stairs. After gouging some of it while moving a stove, the leftover strip peeled up in one piece with no sticky residue. Very pleased with the performance.

Improved visibility and safety on a tall step
Added a lower step and applied the tape to the riser — family members had an easier time climbing. The visual contrast plus traction reduced missteps and falls.

Tacky backing worked well on deck steps
Applied to newly built outdoor steps and the adhesive gripped strongly. The surface sand-like texture added traction. I screwed a few decorative tacks into corners and centers as extra insurance against weather-related peeling.

Held up to mower use all season
Replaced worn traction on my mower running board; it lasted through heat, rain and regular use. Bonded well to metal and kept a firm grip even when wet. Good outdoor performance for an inexpensive repair.

Pricey but effective; weathervane performance
A bit expensive, but the color and brand swayed me. Used on a camper ramp for older dogs and it dramatically reduced slips. Areas protected by the awning held up, but exposed strips faded and washed off after a week of sun and rain. Also, free-range chickens picked at the exposed pieces.

Not good where it gets wet
Works okay for dry applications, but it started to come apart when exposed to water. Not suitable for consistently wet areas in my experience.

Great for marking stairs
Excellent for defining stair edges — made each step easier to see and safer to use.

Width was smaller than expected
Advertised dimensions were unclear; I expected a wider strip but received the 2-inch roll. Be sure to double-check the width before ordering if you need broader coverage.
