Product description

A single reusable shower cap from the Fashionista Collection, designed to combine practical protection with colorful style. Each cap has a soft, frosted PEVA outer — a non-chlorinated alternative to vinyl — and a fully waterproof lining to keep hair dry during showers or baths.

The cap features a flexible elastic trim that stretches to fit most head sizes and an oversized construction to accommodate long, thick, or piled-up hair. Decorative rouching and lively trims finish the edge, and the range comes in a variety of modern patterns to suit different tastes.

Intended uses include protecting hair while showering, covering styles overnight to preserve day-two looks, holding hair during deep-conditioning treatments and oil masks, or shielding styles while dressing. The fabric resists snags and the cap is built for repeated wear.

For care and longevity, the cap is machine washable and dries quickly if hung open between uses. Betty Dain pairs this item with a broader spa and bath collection — robes, wraps, headwear, and pillowcases — drawing on over seven decades of experience in salon and spa apparel.

Pros

  • Waterproof PEVA lining
  • Oversized to fit long/thick hair
  • Machine washable and durable

Cons

  • Elastic can feel quite snug
  • Some batches seem less roomy
  • Edge may leave a temporary mark

VerdictA durable, stylish waterproof cap that covers long and thick hair and is easy to wash. The oversized shape and sturdy PEVA shell keep hair dry and handle treatments well. Note that the elastic can run snug and some versions feel slightly less voluminous than earlier batches.

Customer reviews

  1. Beth 5/5

    Repeat buyer over many years

I’ve purchased three over roughly eight years. The newest one feels slightly less roomy than earlier ones, but it still holds my very long, thick hair with a claw clip. Cute, comfortable, and long-lasting overall.

  2. QUEENFLICK 5/5

    Large and dependable

Big enough to preserve hairdos. I usually get close to a year before the elastic loosens. I’ve ordered repeatedly and am satisfied with performance.

  3. The Kim 5/5

Plenty of room for very full hair

Holds my thick, waist-length hair with room to spare and covers my ears. The elastic grips well so everything stays dry. Dries fast if you hang it open between uses. Highly recommend for large hair.

  4. Hi It's me again 5/5

    Bright print and solid build

Replaced an older one from 2018 — that elastic finally gave out. My long, curly hair fits comfortably and the elastic keeps curls in. Patterns are cheerful and the cap dries quickly. Expect it to last.

  5. A. Davis 3/5

    Too tight for overnight wear

Size and construction are good, but it’s so tight it leaves a red indentation for an hour after use. My head isn’t unusually large. Cute pattern and sturdy feel earn it three stars.

  6. Lynn Lee 4/5

    Elastic stretched after years

I used this cap two to three times monthly for about four years before the elastic loosened. Not bad longevity — I’ll order another one.

  7. Ingrid 5/5

    Handles very heavy, thick hair

Oversized design tucks every strand away without struggle. The PEVA keeps water out in short and long showers and feels sturdier than thin plastic caps. I’ve bought several and they keep working well; the flamingo print is a nice touch.

  8. Wayne G Richmond 5/5

    Long lasting and sturdy

Most durable cap I’ve owned. Feels like it will outlast the thinner alternatives I’ve tried.

  9. Abraxas 5/5

    Muy buena calidad y duradera

De muy buena calidad; lo uso varios meses y continúa como el primer día. Muy durable. Buena compra.

  10. Mrs. Dam Truelove 5/5

    Simple and effective

    Excellent!

  11. Jo 4/5

    Good for deep-conditioning sessions

Looks like the pictures — big, double-lined, and can cover long hair. Elastic is tight so I shift it to avoid marks. I mainly use it for conditioning treatments and it works well.

  12. Mrs. Fiona Jones 4/5

Well made with a pretty pattern

Good quality and attractive print. Very large so suitable for lots of hair. Delivery was slow, so be prepared to wait.

  13. Kristin B. 5/5

Perfect for oil treatments and masks

I use it for weekly coconut oil masks. My long, fine hair fits easily—I clip it up first and still have space. The edge is snug and left a red line on my forehead, but since I wear it overnight that isn't an issue.
