Product description

This kit includes a 16-strand hollow-braid polypropylene rope, a 12-inch double handle with a textured rubber grip, and a rope keeper to keep the line neatly coiled when stored. The hollow-braid polypropylene construction is chosen for rot resistance and durability in fresh- and salt-water use.

The handle measures approximately 12 inches and is covered with textured rubber to improve grip, helping hold times and comfort during extended runs. Both the rope and the handle are manufactured to float, allowing for quicker retrieval if dropped in the water.

The rope is coated to help block damaging ultraviolet light, extending the usable life of the fibers. Color options may vary depending on production run. Manufacturer part number: 50-86651.

Pros

  • Durable 16-strand hollow-braid construction
  • Floating rope and textured 12" handle for easy retrieval
  • UV-coated to resist sun damage

Cons

  • Color may differ from photos
  • Some users report low visibility in water
  • Handle diameter/feel may not suit everyone

VerdictThis double-handle water ski rope offers a durable hollow-braid construction and a large textured rubber grip that many users find easier to hold. The rope and handles are intended to float and the UV coating helps prolong life in sun-exposed conditions. It comes with a rope keeper to keep the line coiled when not in use. Overall it delivers reliable performance for recreational skiers and kneeboa

Customer reviews

  1. Skibabette 5/5

Better than the deep-V for teaching kids

We used the double handle teaching our 7-year-old to get up on a slalom ski. Unlike the coated deep‑V that can stick to the ski, this all-rope V is deeper so the ski doesn't catch on the line or handle. Sometimes simpler designs work best.

  2. Michel 5/5

    Smooth purchase

Order arrived as expected; very pleased with the item. Thanks.

  3. Timothy Syverson 5/5

    Works well for kneeboarding

A very good rope to use for knee boarding.

  4. Sharon Pruitt 2/5

    Floatation and visibility concerns

The rope and handles didn't float for me and were hard to spot in the water.

  5. The Scouter 5/5

    Durable and reliable

I've tried several ropes and returned a few brand-name ones. This is my second SeaChoice rope — it resists fraying, stays flexible so filaments don't break, and shows little stretch. I'd recommend it.

  6. wrldtrvlr25 5/5

    Great grip for casual skiers

Picked this up before a family lake trip. Several non-pro skiers used it and found the textured grip easier to hold than our old smooth line, so they could ski longer with less fatigue. Good value.

  7. JOHN C. 5/5

    Does what it says

    As advertised. Solid product.
