Product description
What you get: a 23-inch-wide manual pool vacuum head with a swivel metal handle, six built-in weights and a set of twelve low-profile wheels. The head is sized for inground pools and works with standard 1.5" vacuum hoses and 1.25" telescopic poles (pole not included).
Construction and materials: the unit is manufactured from heavy-duty materials intended for commercial-style use. It incorporates molded brushes along the sides and bottom for scrubbing action, non-slip wheels for smooth gliding, and integrated weights to help the head sink and maintain contact with the pool floor. Rubber wheel treads and plastic fittings are used where appropriate for flexibility and durability.
Dimensions and fit: measuring 23" across and approximately 9" deep, this extra-wide head covers substantially more area than typical 12–14" units, cutting pass counts and overall cleaning time. It connects to standard 1.5" hoses and accepts a 1.25" telescopic pole. The metal swivel handle provides directional control for sweeping curves and corners.
How it’s used: attach a standard 1.5" vacuum hose to the inlet, secure a compatible telescoping pole to the swivel handle, place the weighted head in the pool and allow it to sink. Make steady, overlapping passes (a couple inches overlap recommended) so the brushes and suction make full contact. Slow, controlled movements work best; aggressive jerking can stress wheels and fittings.
Performance notes: designed to dislodge and pick up sand, dirt and leaves from a variety of inground pool surfaces (pebble, gunite, tile, vinyl). The wider footprint speeds cleaning of large pools, while the side and bottom brushes help break up stubborn debris. Replacement parts such as wheel rubbers or pins may be needed over time depending on use and surface type.
Pros
- Covers large areas quickly with 23" width
- Weighted design provides strong floor contact
- Swivel metal handle improves steering
Cons
- Heavier to maneuver, needs deliberate strokes
- Some users report wheel or rubber wear
- Plastic fittings can fail if stressed
VerdictThis extra-wide, 23-inch manual vacuum head is engineered to reduce cleaning time on larger inground pools, thanks to its broad 9" depth, weighted design and side/bottom brushes. It provides excellent surface contact and steering via a metal swivel handle, but some users report premature wheel or rubber wear and occasional fitment or assembly issues. For those willing to handle a heavier, commerci

Nice ideas, leaves streaks
Has a couple of positives: weight keeps it on the bottom and the swivel helps steer. But it leaves long streaks that force you to go back over areas, which defeats the purpose of a larger head. Tried slower passes and more suction with no improvement.

Drained too much water, underperformed
It pulled a lot of water—if the pump ran slower it barely cleaned. It lowered the pool level in about 10 minutes and only cleaned where the wheels ran on my gunite. I’ll swap wheels back to my old head.

Defective on arrival
The weight fell off and the connector pin detached after only a few uses. Cheap plastic parts failed. I’ll update if the seller responds and replaces the defective unit.

Completely ineffective for me
Absolutely useless — it didn’t work for my pool. Don’t buy if you want a functioning vacuum.

Effective but requires effort
The extra length is a real advantage — a 38x16 pool took 15–20 minutes to vacuum. It’s heavier so you must press down and it’s harder going backward or around steps. So far the parts look okay and the wheels show no wear on gunite.

Rugged feel and good cleaning power
Heavier and a bit less nimble, but it hooks up well to a hose and the brushes work. Rolls clean faster than our old head that finally broke. Hope the connections hold up to regular use.

Makes cleaning a big pool practical
I wish I'd bought a wide manual head sooner. My 16'x36' Pebble Tec pool (576 ft²) is completely vacuumed in about 20 minutes and looks spotless. Automatic vacs took hours and never picked up the fine sand lodged in the aggregate. This head is heavy and wide, so move it slowly and overlap passes by an inch or two. Don’t expect instant tight turns, but it does an excellent job when used properly.

Not a keeper for me
Returned after a minute. The wheels and brushes line up so you get tracks where the wheels run, leaving streaks. Side brushes also sit flat instead of angling down into corners. Overall disappointing.

Solid performance with one flaw
Sturdy and wide — it cut my cleaning time roughly in half. My only gripe is the wheel rubber wore badly after only five uses; now I’m searching for replacements.

Fast coverage but weaker suction and wheels
It covers a lot of area quickly, but the suction feels thin across the width when the brushes are on. The wheel rubber seems cheap and the inner wheels wore through after just a few uses.
