Product description
Compatibility: Designed specifically for most 7mm low-shank home sewing machines. This kit will not fit high-shank, slant-shank, compact, or industrial models—check your machine’s shank type before installing.
Construction and components: The walking foot uses a reinforced resin forked presser foot lever instead of solid metal to allow smoother movement and reduce stress on the machine during operation. The package includes the open-toe walking foot assembly and a bonus 1/4" quilting foot with an adjustable edge guide.
Function and use: The dual-feed action grips top and bottom layers together to keep them synchronized as you sew, preventing skipping and puckering on thick or multi-layered projects such as quilts, fleece blankets, and heavy seams. The open-toe design gives a clear view of stitches and supports left-to-right needle positions for machines with adjustable needle placement.
Applications: Suitable for quilting, topstitching, stitch-in-the-ditch, and appliqué. The guide on the 1/4" foot helps align seams for accurate patchwork and binding. Note that some older or differently designed machines may require a universal adapter for the 1/4" foot to attach correctly.
Compatibility notes: Works well with many Brother and Singer low-shank machines and similar home models. Because the bonus 1/4" foot uses a different attachment style, it may not be compatible with every machine without an adaptor. Always verify the mounting method on your machine before assuming compatibility.
Pros
- Dual-feed keeps layers aligned
- Clear open-toe view for precise stitching
- Reinforced resin lever reduces machine stress
Cons
- Only for 7mm low-shank machines
- Quarter-inch foot may not fit all machines
- Guide can feel loose on some units
VerdictThis walking foot kit delivers steady fabric feeding for quilting, topstitching, and multi-layer projects on compatible 7mm low-shank machines. The flexible resin forked lever reduces stress on the machine while the dual-feed mechanism minimizes shifting and puckering. The included 1/4" quilting foot with guide adds seam accuracy, though it may not adapt to every machine’s foot mounting system. Ov

Does the job
Three quilts completed with no puckering. Measuring bar moved a bit but tape fixed it. Quarter-inch foot is a valuable bonus if it fits your adapter.

Excellent walking foot, extra 1/4" not useful for me
The walking foot exceeded my expectations and lets my old Montgomery Ward (Singer) machine handle quilting again. I still use my Pfaff for heavy work, but this lets me finish projects when traveling. The included 1/4" foot didn’t attach to my vintage machine since it needs a different mounting method, so it’s useless for me.

Good first walking foot
Easy install on my older Brother. Fed four-layer assemblies smoothly with no issues.

Transforms multilayer sewing
Stopped puckering on bindings and batting. The alignment markings help with corners. Open-toe visibility is a big plus on my vintage Kenmore.
