Product description
Designed to adapt as a child grows, this 16-inch children's bicycle offers an adjustable seatpost and a quill stem so handlebars and saddle height can be changed to fit ages roughly 4–6. The bike ships with removable training wheels for initial stability, and parents can remove them as riders gain confidence.
The frame is hand-built from high-tensile steel in a low-profile step-over design. The headtube measures 90mm and the fork is a unicrown high-tensile steel piece with a 1" threaded steerer. Rims are 16" aluminum, 14g spokes with 28 holes (select colors show brushed sides and painted centers). Hubs are 3/8" (10mm) steel ball-bearing units, 14g x 28H, and the rear drivetrain features a 16T cog paired with a coaster brake option on some setups. Tires are Retrospec 16 x 1.75 with S/V valves.
Accessories included vary by model: an aluminum bell, a woven plastic basket sized about 9.5"L x 6"W x 6.5"D (240 x 155 x 165mm) on the girls’ version (basket weight ~0.30 lb), and a pair of steel training wheels with black plastic wheels (set weight ~1.55 lb). The chainguard and other protective pieces are high-impact nylon with CPSC reflectors.
Drivetrain and contact components are built for durability and easy maintenance: a one-piece steel crank (4"/102mm) with a 32T chainring, a KMC 1/2 x 1/8" chain, and an OPC bottom bracket/freewheel assembly with a 16T cog. Controls are aimed at young hands: a rear hand-operated V-brake with a reach-adjustable two-finger plastic lever, 470mm-wide steel riser handlebars with 110mm rise and 20° sweep, and 95mm soft TPR grips with large safety ends (PVC/BPA/lead/phthalate safe). The saddle is a Retrospec kids 16" unit, the seatpost is steel (1"/25.4mm), and an aluminum-alloy quick-release clamp (1 1/8"/28.6mm OD) is provided for easy adjustments.

VerdictThe Koda Plus is a well-rounded 16" kids’ bike that balances durability and kid-friendly features. Its steel frameset, adjustable contact points, and child-sized brake lever make it a solid step from balance bike to two-wheeler. The machine's weight is noticeable on smaller riders, but its ergonomic layout and 3.5 gain ratio help youngsters pedal efficiently. Accessories like the basket, bell, and

Solid build and surprisingly easy assembly
I bought two turquoise Koda Plus bikes for my five-year-old twins. I liked the low crossbar and the presence of both front and rear braking. They were a bit heavy for the tiniest moments, so we used them as balance bikes without pedals at first. After adding pedals they took off quickly and didn’t need training wheels. If I were buying for one child I might have chosen a different premium brand, but for two kids these felt like a smart, cooler-looking alternative. As someone who’s ridden bikes for years and works on them, I was impressed with the build quality for an economical kids' bike.

Doesn’t allow backpedaling reliably
You can’t backpedal it — when attempted the mechanism fails.

Lightweight and easy for my child
Very happy with this bike. It’s light enough for my son to handle and simple for him to ride.

Nice bike but sized too small for us
Lovely ride, but it ended up being too small for my son. That was my sizing mistake, not the seller’s fault.
