Product description
Designed to fit the pressing tub of small fruit and wine presses, these filter bags measure approximately 12 inches by 12 inches and are compatible with 0.53 gallon and 0.8 gallon EJWOX pressing tubs. The bags are made from 100% food-grade nylon with a fine, cheesecloth-like mesh that blocks skins, pulp and seeds while allowing juice to pass through.
To use, open the pressing tub and place the bag inside, draping the excess material over the tub sides. Add fruit or other solids into the bag, fold the excess fabric over the top, then position the pressing plate and tighten the screw to apply pressure. Juice filters out through the mesh while solids remain inside the bag. After pressing, empty the bag and rinse under running water to remove residue.
These washable mesh bags are also versatile for other kitchen applications: they work for straining nut milks, making fruit or vegetable juices, steeping tea, preparing cold brew coffee, and even for fine straining tasks. The material is sturdy enough for repeated handling and stands up to regular washing; simply rinse thoroughly and hang to dry before storing. Because they are handmade from food-safe materials, they offer a reusable, low-waste alternative to single-use filters.
Pros
- Food-grade nylon construction
- Multiuse for presses, nut milk, coffee and tea
- Easy to rinse and reuse
Cons
- May not fit larger press models
- Single size only (12" x 12")
- Handwashing required to maintain mesh
VerdictThese 12" x 12" reusable mesh filter bags are built from food-grade nylon with a cheesecloth-style weave and are intended for use in small fruit or wine presses and a variety of kitchen tasks. They rinse clean easily, dry quickly, and are suitable for making nut milk, cold brew, tea, and clarified juices. Note that a few users report fit issues with larger press models, so check your press dimensi

Wrong fit for my press
Not the 12" bags needed for the EJWOX 1.6-gallon press — they won’t sit in the basket, so they can’t be used for that machine.

Solid and reusable
Solid product — I would purchase again.

No issues for my uses
I use one as a kitchen strainer and the other as a laundry bag for reusable bamboo towels.
