Product description

What you get: a set of three packs, with two banana-flavored treat sticks in each pack (six sticks total). Each stick is built on a natural wooden skewer and coated with a blend of ingredients parakeets enjoy.

Ingredients and construction: made with real banana flavor combined with millet, an assortment of selected seeds, and added vitamins and minerals. Each stick is triple-baked to set the coating firmly on the natural wood center.

Purpose and benefits: designed as a crunchy, long-lasting snack to satisfy chewing instincts, which helps wear down and maintain a healthy beak. The texture and variety also provide mental and physical stimulation to reduce boredom and lessen the chance of stress-related behaviors like feather picking.

How to use: hang the stick in the cage by the exposed wood end or place pieces in a small feeder cup for birds that prefer to peck at fragments. These work as occasional treats or training rewards, not as a daily dietary staple.

Size and appearance: individual stick dimensions are approximately 0.88 inches high by 2.44 inches wide by 9.25 inches long, with an average overall product weight of 0.15 pounds. Colors on the coating range in natural browns, golds and yellows, and greens from the seeds and fruit pieces.

Suitability: marketed for parakeets and other small companion birds. Product type: bird treats. The recipe is described as natural and formulated to appeal to small seed-eating parrots.

Pros

  • Long-lasting texture encourages chewing and beak wear
  • Contains real banana flavor plus millet, seeds, vitamins
  • Easy to hang or break into feeder cups for smaller birds

Cons

  • Coating can crack off or arrive as loose pieces
  • Some birds may be hesitant due to aroma or texture
  • Occasional brittleness means not ideal as a single enrichment source

VerdictThese banana-flavored millet and seed sticks are a handy, long-lasting treat that encourages healthy chewing and cage activity. Most birds enjoy the flavor and texture, and the wooden core gives them something to gnaw on to help keep beaks trimmed. Some reviewers report breakage during transit or brittle coatings, so expect occasional loose pieces — still edible, but may require a feeder cup for c

  1. Jessica Clarke 1/5

    Not appealing to some budgies

My budgies refused them; there was a faint chemical-like aroma that put them off.

  2. User 5/5

    Conure approved

My conure is a big fan of these banana sticks.

  3. Sharmain wilson 5/5

Good for my bird, but often broken

I like buying these for my bird, but they often arrive in fragments rather than intact sticks.

  4. Mouseface 5/5

    Messy but adored

They scatter quite a bit around the cage, yet my flock goes wild for them every time.

  5. Trisha 5/5

    Fresh and sizable treats

These arrived fresh and are larger than some alternatives. My bird prefers this brand and the quality has been consistent.

  6. Karyl S. 5/5

    Gone within a day

Bought these before and my cockatiel, Rainbow, demolished one in a single day. They hang well and seem sturdy while attached.

  7. Robert Miller 5/5

    Picky budgie turned fan

My budgie is choosy and was unfamiliar with banana flavor at first. After a few tastes he now prefers these to other fruit-flavored options and I keep buying them.

  8. Betty 5/5

    Simple praise

My birds absolutely love these treats.

  9. Darlene Ahearn 5/5

    Budgie favorite

These are a hit—my budgie always reaches for them when I offer a treat.

  10. Smile chilla 5/5

    Often arrives in pieces

The birds love the flavor, but many sticks show up broken. I place the chunks in a cup; they still eat them, just less enthusiastically.

  11. Jasper Nikolas Ortiz 1/5

    Disappointed — arrived ruined

My conure adores the flavor, but most sticks came apart and the edible coating was detached from the wood so he couldn't enjoy them as intended. I couldn't find intact packs nearby.

  12. Gregory A. Lyons 4/5

    Parakeets enjoyed them, fragile coating

My parakeets really liked these treats. They’re fragile, though, and the coating doesn't always stay attached to the stick.

  13. glitterglam 5/5

    Cockatiel can't get enough

My cockatiel, Chipper, inhaled one of these in a single day and kept picking at the leftover stick. The size is ideal for him and the bags arrived fresh. Occasionally a few seeds fall to the bottom, but I add them to his dish and he happily finishes the pieces.
