Product description
What’s included: Four brush seal strips, each 39.37 inches long by 2.5 inches wide, for a combined length of roughly 13.12 feet. The kit ships with pre-drilled holes in the aluminum carrier and mounting screws to simplify attachment to door bottoms or sides.
Materials and construction: The carrier is extruded aluminum and the sealing element is a dense polypropylene (PP) filament brush. The bristles are extra-thick to fill gaps up to about 2 inches, while the aluminum backing gives straight-line stability and resists corrosion.
Performance and uses: Designed for garages, roll-up doors, barn and sliding doors, workshop entries, and other commercial or residential openings with uneven or large clearances. The brush profile conforms to rough concrete, thresholds with irregularities, and non-flat surfaces while maintaining continuous contact to block drafts, dust, leaves, insects, and small pests.
Durability and weather resistance: Unlike solid rubber sweeps that can harden and crack over time, this brush-and-aluminum combination maintains flexibility under frequent movement and across a wide temperature range. It tolerates moisture and wear for year-round protection.
Installation and customization: Each strip can be trimmed to fit specific door widths; aluminum can be cut with a saw, grinder, or cutoff wheel. Pre-drilled holes speed mounting and the included screws allow immediate installation on single doors or multi-panel setups. Ideal for retrofit projects where uneven gaps defeat flat seals.
Pros
- Fills wide or irregular gaps up to about 2 inches
- Durable aluminum backing with flexible polypropylene bristles
- Ships with pre-drilled holes and mounting screws for quick install
Cons
- Aluminum requires a cutting tool to trim to length
- Metal and plastic components can be thin in places
- Brackets or carriers may crack if screws are over-tightened
VerdictThese brush seals provide a durable, flexible barrier for large or irregular gaps where flat rubber sweeps often fail. The aluminum carrier and polypropylene bristles stand up to seasonal exposure and frequent use. Installation is straightforward thanks to pre-drilled holes and supplied screws, though trimming the aluminum requires a cutting tool. Good value for sealing garages, workshops, and sli

Keeps birds out of my shop
Installed across a 2" gap at the top of my door and it stopped birds from getting in. Works exactly as needed.

High-quality for a niche application
I used these to cover a track for a DIY dumbwaiter. They look clean and are well made. The photos can make one side look different, but they match in person.

Great fix for porch sliding barn doors
Used them on screened barn-style sliding doors that left 2" gaps. I pre-drilled and mounted the aluminum ends; the doors still slide freely and the bristles block bugs and debris. Very satisfied.

Good value for custom screens
Worked well for my custom sliding screen door builds. Lengths were usable and the installation was straightforward.

Acceptable but handle hardware carefully
Metal and plastic brackets are a bit thin and can crack if screws are over-tightened. Overall a decent value, though sturdier options exist.

Bring a cutting tool for customization
Functionally simple and effective, but you'll need a way to cut the aluminum to fit. I used a table saw with a worn ceramics blade and it cut fine. A grinder or Dremel cutoff works too; a hacksaw is a last resort.
