Product description
Manufacturer and packaging
Made by Lincoln Electric in China, the helmet ships in a box measuring roughly 11.6 x 11.2 x 11.3 inches. The unit is a plastic‑molded shell with decorative graphics and a ratchet‑style headgear for quick adjustment.
Optical and power specifications
The auto‑darkening filter covers shade 9 through 13 and reacts in about 1/25,000 of a second. The viewing plate measures 4-1/2 inches high by 5-1/4 inches wide (viewing area 4.5 x 5.25 in). It uses a combination of solar assist and AAA alkaline batteries (battery life rated around 3,000 hours) and relies on two arc sensors with a TIG rating down to 8 amps. There is no electromagnetic sensing capability.
Features and what's included
The shell is described as lightweight and includes grind mode functionality. An extra front cover lens is supplied in the package so you can replace the outer protective lens as needed. Controls are ADF‑based with a manual shade selector knob on the exterior and the unit accepts magnifier lenses if required.

Lightweight and reliable over years of use
Picked this up in 2020 and it’s light enough I often forget it’s on. The only gripe is spatter can get behind the front cover and hit the internal lens, but after daily use for three years the auto‑shade still functions and the view is clear.

Shade knob has mixed usefulness
If you stick to one shade, the protruding knob can be a nuisance because it turns easily if bumped and can change darkness mid‑job. If you frequently switch between grind and weld modes it’s handy. I like the look, despite the occasional accidental adjustment.

Acceptable but some durability concerns
I expected more. The plastic flexes when you pick it up by the front and feels like it could crack over time. The large adjustment knob is easily bumped to different settings. The viewing area is smaller than I hoped and the ratchet action isn’t as smooth as I’d like.

Attractive and easy to adjust
This helmet is one of the nicest looking I’ve owned. Tightness and tilt adjustments are straightforward and batteries are simple to replace. Good option if you want a user‑friendly ADF helmet.

Auto‑darkening works flawlessly; comfortable for long shifts
I started getting flash burns with my old hood until I switched to this one. The auto‑darkening eliminated the need to keep a hand shield up and saved time. It’s comfortable enough to wear for an hour straight and the design looked great when it arrived. I’m already looking for other graphics to pick up another one.

Solid hood with spare lenses included
Very happy with the build for the cost. Comfortable and comes with two spare lenses for inside and outside use. Remember to install the batteries and test before starting work. The graphics are a plus.

Performs well for MIG work and looks sharp
Bought it for MIG and added magnifying inserts. It’s very light and comfortable — I can wear it for hours without neck strain. The graphics are a nice touch.

Daily use holds up well
I weld at work for long stretches and have used this every day for a year. It’s performed consistently, stays comfortable all day, and the lens area is easy to keep clean. I’ve only needed two spare lenses in a year and the battery still hasn’t needed replacing.
