This poultry waterer includes the main 2-gallon (8 L) jug and a deep base tray designed for adult birds.
The unit is molded from heavy-duty plastic and comes with a removable plastic stopper fitted with an O-ring to help prevent leaks when the system is put together.

Sturdy and easy to fill
After four months of use it’s held up well. Bottom filling is convenient and, unlike older units I tried, this one hasn’t leaked.

Effective but awkward to handle
Chickens like the deep tray, but flipping and refilling is a pain. Capacity is good, yet cleaning and flipping the unit are inconvenient.

Dependable with one small caveat

Works well so far
I like it so far: raised off the ground to keep dirt down, good height for hens, and easy to clean. The bottom refill keeps the base in place and hasn’t leaked yet.

Keeps grit out and is the right size
Raised base reduces dirt in the water. The 2-gal size is easy to carry to the run. The black insert didn’t help me; ensure seals are tight to avoid leaks.

Mixed experience — leaking issues
I bought three of these. The first was fine, but the next two leaked — the most recent leaks worse than any. The larger replacement didn’t solve the problem.
