Product description

Optical system and eyepieces: This trinocular compound microscope includes two WF10x and two WF25x wide-field eyepieces plus two 2x auxiliary eyepiece lenses to extend the magnification range. The optical elements feature coated surfaces to improve light transmission and reduce glare, while an adjustable refractive compensation and interpupillary spacing let different users get comfortable views.

Objective lenses and magnification: The instrument uses a 195-series achromatic objective set built around an infinity-corrected optical design to enhance image sharpness and reduce chromatic aberration. With the supplied eyepieces and auxiliaries the usable magnification spans roughly 40X up to 5000X for low- to high-power biological observation.

Mechanical and illumination features: Built with a dual coaxial coarse/fine focus mechanism, a double-layer mechanical stage with vernier adjustments, an adjustable condenser and iris diaphragm, plus an LED illumination module. The trinocular head rotates up to 306° and the pupil distance and head tilt are adjustable to accommodate various observers. The unit supports external expansion through the trinocular port.

Camera and connectivity: An HD USB camera is included for live imaging and capture on a computer. The camera connects via USB and requires appropriate drivers/software to view stills and video; software behavior can vary with different operating systems.

Accessory kit and packaging: The microscope ships with a large accessory bundle: 10 prepared slides, 100 coverslips, 10 specimen sections, 2 cotton swabs, 2 insect pins, 2 microscope paper sheets, cleaning wipes, Petri dishes, an air blower, tweezers, a smartphone adapter, scalpels/knives, test tubes, droppers, brushes, a dust cover and shock-proof foam packing. The accessories let users prepare samples and begin observing right away.

Pros

  • Very broad magnification range for many applications
  • Comprehensive accessory kit included
  • Sturdy mechanical stage and adjustable optics

Cons

  • Camera software may be tricky to install or configure
  • Instruction manual is sparse and could be clearer
  • Some units have occasional quality-control issues

VerdictA feature-rich trinocular microscope that covers a very wide magnification range and arrives with an extensive accessory pack. Optics and mechanical controls are solid for school and hobby lab use; the camera and software can require patience to set up and some buyers report uneven quality control. Overall it’s a capable instrument for exploration, teaching and basic lab work when you’re willing t

  1. SCUBA Diva 5/5

    Perfect gift for a sixth-grader

Our granddaughter is thrilled. It was a reward for moving into the sixth-grade gifted program. Assembly was simple and it’s easy for her to use. We fitted the set into a hard case with foam cutouts. Highly satisfied.

  2. Colorado Skier 5/5

    Excellent for sparking curiosity

We gave this to our 10-year-old granddaughter to encourage science interest — it did the job perfectly.

  3. Daniel B. 4/5

    Works, but needs tweak

Performs well overall, though one of the eyepieces didn’t reach full focus.

  4. Kurt E Kirkham 5/5

    Strong optics, weak instructions

Lenses and build quality are good and you get prepared slides plus a prep kit. The camera can capture stills and video but is somewhat fiddly to move. The manual doesn’t explain many parts and the supplied software wasn’t straightforward; I used alternative software to get it working. No case, just a dust cover.

  5. Lumpia Queen 5/5

    Good unit after an exchange

First shipment looked used so I returned it; the replacement is clean and functions well. We viewed blood cells and garden specimens with the kids — very educational. Planning to buy more slides.

  6. Matt Rowe 1/5

    Extremely frustrating — avoid

The camera software never worked for me across multiple computers and apps. Device would connect but no image appeared. Download links and instructions were unclear and support was unhelpful. Spent hours troubleshooting with no result.

  7. MyLisa 5/5

Great addition to our homeschool lab

The cord arrived damaged but the seller sent a replacement quickly. The scope’s clarity makes exploring everyday samples addictive — we examined leaves and onion skin with vivid detail. Worth it for home science.

  8. Leonardo Sacchi 5/5

    Very good quality

    Solid build and good performance.
