Product description

Ultra-loud 100 dB leak alarms for home protection - Each detector emits a high-volume alert when water is sensed, designed to be heard across the house so you can take action before a small leak becomes a flood.

Compact footprint and flexible placement - Each round, battery-operated sensor measures about 3.15 inches in diameter and 1.18 inches tall. Place them in basements, laundry areas, bathrooms, under sinks, in garages, by windows, or beside water heaters to catch leaks where they start.

Sensitive three-prong detection and durable build - Sensors use three metal contact pins on the underside to detect moisture. Housings are molded from ABS plastic with waterproofed electronics; units are capable of floating on pooled water while still detecting contact.

Battery-powered, no wiring required - Each unit runs on a 6F22 9V battery (included). The manufacturer estimates roughly 12 months of service under normal conditions. Installation is simple: unwrap, insert the battery, and set the unit where you need coverage.

What’s in the box and support - The package contains 6 water detector alarms and 6 9V batteries. The seller provides a 30-day money-back option, a 12-month warranty, and lifetime consulting/support services for product questions and troubleshooting.

Customer reviews

  1. J. Johnson 5/5

    Good peace-of-mind value

Drop one beneath a sink or anywhere vulnerable. They perform well for the price and are about as loud as a typical smoke alarm.

  2. paola 5/5

    Easy install, effective alarm

Simple to mount and effective in operation. Good value and the alarm is sonically adequate.

  3. Roweena L Knopsnyder 5/5

    Catches tiny floods fast

Exactly as listed. It trips on very little water, so I spot leaks before they get ankle-deep in my basement. Alarm is loud—on par with a smoke detector—so it's easy to notice.

  4. JMG 5/5

    Does the job

Simple device that works. Easy to use and reasonably priced. I'll rely on them to detect water during storm seasons.

  5. RG, Texas 4/5

Plug-and-play but slightly quieter than hoped

I bought two and they worked as soon as I added the included batteries. The alarm is a high-pitched tone like a smoke alarm but a touch softer than I expected for attic drain pans.

  6. JohnnyCaps 5/5

Loud and responsive to small amounts

Insert a battery and the unit is silent until water appears. A small wet patch set it off with a sound similar to a smoke detector. You can tweak the lid alignment to alter volume slightly.

  7. Dan 5/5

    Works perfectly; batteries included

Works perfectly and the batteries were included.

  8. Amy P 3/5

    One arrived defective

I gave three stars because one of two detectors never powered up even with fresh batteries and had to be returned. Disappointing but returnable.

  9. k at56 5/5

    Prevented a second basement disaster

They stopped a second basement flood after my sump pump clogged. From one floor up I could only faintly hear it, but in the basement it alerted me. Batteries included but can be tricky to connect.

  10. The Grinch 5/5

    Performed well during testing

They arrived with batteries, triggered in a small pool during testing, and are easy to use. Battery life remains to be seen, but I'll place them under showers and by toilets.

  11. Gord 5/5

A shriek that can prevent major costs

After a neighbor's huge water loss we bought several of these. They found a damp stain in a cupboard and emitted a piercing 100 dB alarm. Inexpensive, unobtrusive, and effective — worth having around.

  12. MikenzCO 5/5

Months later update — it alerted me when needed

Update 5/23/2024 - Groundwater rose and one unit I put by a trouble wall went off while I was upstairs. I ran down and the water had just reached it. The alarm stops when you pick the unit up, which I prefer over types that keep blaring. Tone and volume carried through the house.
